Triumph Tech is Excited to Hear, AWS Announces General Availability of Babelfish for Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL
Triumph Tech is excited to hear the Triumphant news about AWS announcing the availability of Babelfish. AWS has announced general availability of Babelfish for Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL-Compatible Edition. Babelfish allows customers to run applications written for Microsoft SQL Server directly on Amazon Aurora with little to no code changes. Babelfish for Aurora PostgreSQL enables Amazon Aurora to understand commands from applications written for Microsoft SQL Server, making it easier for customers to migrate to Amazon Aurora.
Here’s why Triumph Tech is excited to explore more with it. With Babelfish for Aurora PostgreSQL, customers simply migrate their data and configure their application to point to Amazon Aurora, by creating operations to be more simplified and removing reliance on Microsoft SQL Server. It allows you to migrate your SQL Server applications to PostgreSQL cheaper, faster, and with less risks involved with such change. No longer you will have to stick with complications and time consumption using Microsoft SQL Servers. Babelfish can migrate your application in a fraction of the time that a traditional migration would require, which can save you licensing costs using SQL Server. Amazon Aurora provides the security, availability, and reliability of commercial databases at 1/10th the cost.
Triumph Tech looks forward to helping our customers on their journey in adopting PostgreSQL and enjoying the benefits of running an open-source database on AWS.
